The Committee on Budgets and Finance has the
following oversight responsibilities:
- All overall Tribal budgets, including Indirect Costs and the
Fair
- The Tribal Finance office
- Any subcontracts, contracts, grants or monetary agreements with
other governmental, business or corporate entities or individuals
- The hearing of Step 3 grievances under the Tribal Personnel
Policies
- Tribal financial and procurement policies
.Committee
on Children & Youth
The Committee on Children & Youth has the following oversight
responsibilities:
- The Tribal Youth Program, and, in conjunction with the Committee
on Economic Development, the Summer Youth Programs
- Child welfare and child protection programs, in conjunction
with the Committee on Community Development
- Educational policies, as they affect the welfare of children,
in conjunction with the Committee on Education
- The Save the Children Program
- Juvenile and Youth Codes, in conjunction with the Committee
on Judicial Affairs and Law Enforcement
- Scouting programs
- Youth recreation

The Committee on Education has the following oversight responsibilities:
- The Tribal Department of Education
- Relations between the Tribe and the BIA Office of Indian Education
Programs

on Economic Development
The Committee on Economic Development has the following oversight
responsibilities:
- The Tribal Department of Employment and Training and Office
of Economic Development
- The Choctaw Indian Fair
.Committee
on Governmental Affairs
The Committee on Governmental Affairs has the following oversight
responsibilities:
- The Tribal administration (personnel office and planning office)
- All Tribal property and its disposition except for land
- The Tribe's departmental structure
- Any questions dealing with civil rights or the rights of specific
populations such as the handicapped
- Relations between the Tribe and the Bureau of Indian Affairs
(except for the Office of Indian Education Programs), as well
as the federal government as a whole (including any legislation
pending in Congress)
- The Tribal Constitution, and any amendments thereto, and Tribal
election procedures
- The Tribal Personnel Policies
- The Tribal Tax Commission

on Judicial Affairs and Law & Order
The Committee on Judicial Affairs and Law & Order has the following
oversight responsibilities:
- The Tribal Department of Law Enforcement, the Fire Department
and the Tribal Court
- The Tribal Code
- Relations with other jurisdictions
.Committee
on Natural Resources The Committee on Natural Resources
has the following oversight responsibilities:
- Programs in the Executive Branch funded by the Environmental
Protection Agency
- Any proposed use of Tribal Lands that might adversely affect
the quality of life for reservation residents (including dog control
and disposal of abandoned cars), in conjunction with the Committee
on Community Development
- The environmental impacts of Tribal programs, enterprises or
entities
.Committee
on Health
The Committee on Health has the following oversight responsibilities:
- The Tribal Department of Health
- Tribal relations with the Indian Health Service
- The Choctaw Residential Center Enterprise
.Committee
on Community and Family Services & Veteran's Affairs
The Committee on Veteran's Affairs has the following oversight responsibilities:
- All Tribal members who are or have been members of the armed
forces
- The services of all Tribal programs as they are furnished to
veterans
.Committee
on Housing
The Committee on Community Development has the following oversight
responsibilities:
- All Tribal or prospective Tribal, real property
- The Tribal Department of Family and community Services and the
Choctaw Housing Authority
- Housing Improvement Program
- Land use and land use or zoning plans
- Real property leases
- Adult recreation
