Alternate REsources Office
The Alternate Resources Office looks for any type of funding i.e. Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance or any state, federal or local program that pays for any type of medical services or medical equipment. It may be important to apply for an alternate funding resource due to the high cost of medical care. The Alternate Resource coordinator and assistant work very closely with the State Department of Human Resources and the Social Security Administration in assisting patients with eligibility determination for Medicaid and Medicare benefits. Private insurances are also used.
In some predetermined cases, the Tribal Council can approve funding to purchase contracted medical services when patients are not eligible for Medicaid, Medicare or other private insurance.
