The Youth Opportunity Program provides summer employment for all Choctaw youth that are both enrolled Mississippi Band of Choctaw members ages 14-25 and enrolled in school. The program provides job training skills. Another component of the Youth Program is the Chahta Youth Council, comprised of 32 youth who represent all the communities and who perform community service and attend local youth conferences. The students develop leadership skills and learn about Choctaw culture, crafts and Tribal government.
