Where do I sign up for GED Classes?
Come to the Manpower Training Building to enroll for classes
or go directly to the community in which you plan to attend. Call
601.650.1756 for more information.

What do I need to bring to enroll for classes?
Just bring a copy of your Certificate Degree of Indian Blood
(CDIB).

Can I bring my children to class with me?
Not really. Your child/ren can participate in childcare
in the following communities: Standing Pine, Bogue Homa and Pearl
River day and night classes. For the other communities, one of the
teaching staff will care for your child/ren.

When can I take my GED test?
The instructor-by reviewing the placement test you will
have taken upon enrollment-will make a recommendation to the division
director as to when you are ready for the GED test.

Where do I go for the GED test?
GED testing sites vary. One of our staff can provide transportation
to the GED testing site on the day the test is scheduled. Call 601.650.1756
or ask the instructor.

Will the program provide transportation if I need a ride to class?
Yes, daily to and from classes. Call 601.650.1756 if you
need this service.

How can I apply for services?
Simply call the office at 601-650-7332 and request an appointment
to put in your application for services.

What are the eligibility criteria?
- Be a Native American living on or near the MBCI Reservation
- Have a physical or mental impairment that is a substantial barrier
to employment
- Require vocational rehabilitation services to achieve a job
and be to obtain employment after going through the program.

How long will I receive the services?
Vocational Rehabilitation services are provided on an individual
basis. This will depend on your Individualized Plan for Employment
(IPE). Each person is in the program for different lengths of time.

Will I be hired by the Choctaw Rehabilitation Services Program?
No. Don't be confused-being accepted into our program is
not being hired by our program! You will work at various training
facilities during the program, but this is not a job. The training
facilities use work activities to prepare you for work, but are
not employment.
