Choctaw Family & Community Services
The Department of Family and Community Services coordinates the services of five major service programs operated by the MBCI. These program are dedicated to providing services to families who are, through a standard eligibility process, determined to be in need. Each program can be accessed directly and emergency services can be accessed on a 24-hour basis.

Behavioral Health

The Division of Behavioral Health is dedicated to providing mental health, alcohol and drug treatment to patients in need through an outpatient and on-call service system. Again, Behavioral Health Services can be accessed by calling the Choctaw Health Center 24 hours.

Services Provides outpatient emergency and oncall services for mental health patients and patients with alcohol and drug dependency.

Family Emergency Assistance Program

The Program provides direct resources to eligible Choctaw Families by delivery of supplemental, supportive and/or financial services. Personnel also provide counseling and support to the elderly.

Food Distribution Program

Services Provides USDA foods to eligible Choctaw households residing on the reservation or in the service area based on family size and income.

Social & Elderly Nutrition Program


The Social and Elderly Nutrition Program is an organization of the Tribal government that provides services to Tribal elders of the reservation. The intent is to improve the quality of life for elders through fostering an enviroment of quality, dignity and pride. Tribal members 58 years or older may qualify.
