The Choctaw Museum was established in 1981 to share the Choctaw culture with visitors so that they can better understand and appreciate every aspect of the Mississippi Choctaw's way of life and to give insight into Tribal Government. In the fall of 2014 the Choctaw Museum closed.

In October 2014 the Chahta Immi Cultural Center opened at the Choctaw Town Center. Many of the same exhibits from the origianl museum was moved to the Cultural Center. Click here to learn more about the Chahta Immi Cultural Center.
