Choctaw Quilting
Quilting was once a necessary skill for Choctaw women. Like other women in the rural south, they made quilts to keep their families warm. There are quilters today who continue this tradition, some using patterns such as nine patch or grandmother's flower garden. Star quilts are also popular among Choctaw quilters.
