Public Works

The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians Public Works Department was created by Resolution CHO 20-99 and the Department began operation October 1, 1998. The Public Works office is located in the Pearl River Community, immediately west of the Pearl River Water Treatment Plant. The Department is staffed with 12 employees, including a director, a superintendent, an administrative assistant, a water operator, a wastewater operator, two technicians, two utility workers and a cashier/secretary.

  • Water Facilities: The Public Works Department operates and maintains water treatment facilities supplying drinking water.
  • Wastewater Facilities: The Department maintains wastewater collection and treatment facilities in all Choctaw communities.
