Mission of the CCAC:

The Department of Family and Community Services coordinates the services of seven major service programs operated by the MBCI. These programs are dedicated to providing services to families who are, through a standard eligibility process, determined to be in need. Each program can be accessed directly and emergency services can be accessed on a 24-hour basis.

Services provided at the CCAC:

Services available at the CCAC are aimed to provide the child victims and their family with treatment, education, and support while effectively coordinating other community resources.

This support given to victims and their family begins the recovery process and also helps families move through the system that legally manages child abuse cases.

Protecting children from abuse is everyone's responsibility. Everyone working together, the police, social workers, doctors, therapists, prosecutors, and advocates, can provide a community based response to the problem of child abuse and help to build a safe community. If you suspect child abuse is occurring, please complete the following form and file a copy with the CCAC, Choctaw Police Department, and Children and Family Services:

Goals for the CCAC:

To provide access to mental health services, investigative services, and other corollary services to abused children and their family.

To develop and implement program evaluations to assess program effectiveness and community impact.

To develop the CCAC as a resource of valid information on Child Abuse topics for the community.

To strengthen existing partnerships and develop new collaborations with other tribal and non tribal service providers who share our mission.

Where is the CCAC?

The CCAC is located in the Pearl River Community of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. The main tribal complexes are located in Neshoba County, approximately 8 miles west of Philadelphia.

From Philadelphia, take MS HWY 16 West, past the Silver Star and Golden Moon Hotel Casinos. Approximately ½ mile past the casino complexes, take the right which is marked Choctaw Tribal complexes. This road is alongside the Choctaw Central High School and leads to the Governmental Complex. Take a right at the road across from the entrance to the high school. Take the left at the end of the softball field which leads to a cul-de-sac with modular office buildings. The CCAC is the first office on the right.
